Perfect for Level 2 beginners and intermediates, this class is for those of you that have SOME pottery experience under your belt. For the Summer we are offering Wed. mornings as a class that is is set up somewhat like Open-Studio BUT you will have an instructor available to help you. This time is great for you to practice what you have been learning up until now and explore your own ideas. There are no demos or new projects taught during this class. What experience do you need? If you can throw basic pieces on the wheel,(centre, pull, trim), have learned hand building techniques (coil-building, slab work, pinch pots) and understand basic glazing then this time in the studio is perfect. It's also 4 hours long so you have more time to fine tune, pay attention to your details and finishing. You will be working alongside other potters, all on their own path with their own skill set. Everyone is very friendly, fun, supportive and creative, you will learn from each other as well as have instructor support. Class starts July 8th to Aug 19th (no class on Aug. 12th) What will you need? Clay (purchased from the studio starting at $42+gst/bag, includes glazes and firings) Basic pottery tool kit (available at Delta Art, most Art stores, Amazon) 1 or 2 microfibre cloths Wear Clothing that you can get messy (apron is optional) Very short fingernails are highly recommended when working with clay Wear Closed-toed shoes Tie long hair back *all finished pieces will be available for pickup 4-5 weeks after the last class class maximum: 10 participants **experience is required for this class, if you are unsure if you qualify, please email and ask BEFORE registering**
