Perfect for Level 2 beginners and Intermediate Potters, this class is for those of you that have some pottery experience under your belt. You will be taking your current beginner skills up a level. What experience do you need? If you can throw basic pieces on the wheel,(centre, pull, trim), have learned hand building techniques (coil-building, slab work, pinch pots) and understand basic glazing then this may be the class for you. You don't have to be great at it, you just need to be able to pull a basic cylinder type piece. This class is project based where you will watch a demo and then give it a go. The instructor is there to help and support you as you go. It's a lot of fun and you will have some beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces, advancing your skills and challenging your comfort zone. This group is very friendly, fun, and creative. You will learn from your instructor but also from each other. Classes start January 12 - April 13, 2026, 6:00pm - 9:00pm (3 hrs./class, 11 weeks) **No Classes on Feb. 16 (Family Day), March 30 (Spring Break) & April 6 (Easter)** What will you need? Clay (purchased from the studio for $36+gst/bag, includes glazes and firings) Basic pottery tool kit (available at Delta Art, most Art stores, Amazon) 1 or 2 Microfibre cloths Wear Clothing that you can get messy (apron is optional) Very short fingernails are highly recommended when working with clay *all finished pieces will be available for pickup up to 4 weeks after the last class class maximum: 10 participants
