Service Description

Attention! This class is for CURRENT MUDITA POTTERY STUDENTS and you must have an invite in order to join this class. If you are unsure if you may be eligible, please contact us via email with your questions BEFORE signing up. (there is a $25 service fee for those that require a refund if you sign up and are not eligible) Workshop Course details: Over the summer you will plan, design, create and glaze your Full Serving Set which includes: -Tea or Coffee Pot -Tea cups or Mugs -Cream and Sugar -Serving Platter *add-ons (if there is time) may include dessert/luncheon plates You will learn how to make the main tea/coffee pot body with a lid, handle and spout, a lidded sugar bowl and cream pitcher, tea cups or mugs and a serving platter. All these pieces will have a flow, a look & feeling of belonging as part of a set. Maybe your set will be sleek and modern, maybe it will have a botanical theme or nautical, perhaps very whimsical with cute characters, the ideas are up to you and planning and coming up with ideas is all part of this workshop. Take your pottery skills to the next level in a fun and creative environment as part of a wonderful supportive group of other pottery lovers and makers. Each Wednesday class is 4 hours long so you can take your time in creating & finishing your pieces with care and attention to detail. This is a structured workshop where everyone is working and learning to create their own unique set. This is not a studio class but an instructed and focussed learning workshop. The goal for this class is to learn the components of the previous mentioned pieces, how to create them and attach them together. This Intermediate (level 2 and up) summer course is designed for those with prior experience in pottery and are confident both working on the pottery wheel and some hand building skills. This workshop is largely wheel focused but is adaptable for experienced hand builders as well. What will you need? Clay (purchased from the studio starting at $36+gst/bag, includes glazes and firings) Basic pottery tool kit (available at Delta Art, most Art stores, Amazon) Wear Clothing that you can get messy (apron is optional) Very short fingernails are highly recommended when working with clay Long hair tied back *all finished pieces will be available for pickup up 4-5 weeks after the last class class max: 10 participants Wednesdays 9:30am to 1:30pm July 6, 16, 23, 30 August 6, 13 & 27 **no class on Aug. 20th**

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation policy: -you can cancel up to 10 days before start date and you will receive a full refund minus a $25 administration fee -if you cancel 5-9 days before start date you will receive 1/2 of the course fee minus a $25 administration fee -if you cancel 4 days or less before the start date there are no refunds available
